My name is Lara Jameson, and together with a team of highly experienced curtain makers and upholsterers, I am delighted to be continuing a family business and to continue to provide a much needed service to the local community.

Pullingers was originally founded by my grandfather, Ned Danby, in 1934 and as many people local to Hayling Island will know, was a friendly family business providing soft furnishings, furniture and bedding to customers from far and wide.

When the old firm closed its doors in March 2015, I decided that whilst I wasn't in a position to take over Pullingers as it was, I could take forward the part of it I have always loved the most - the fabrics.

With three young children to work around, I decided the best way forward would be to work on an appointment basis. Not only does this enable me not to be constrained by traditional hours and offer appointments outside of standard business hours to suit the needs of my customers, but also allows me the flexibility to still be there for my family as they grow up.

I have extensive experience making curtains and blinds of all shapes and sizes and am passionate about textiles and fabrics. I get huge satisfaction from finding the right fabric to go in the right place and hope that with my enthusiasm for and knowledge of fabrics and soft furnishings, I can continue a family business with an emphasis on quality and personal service.
